Joint Preparation

  • Clean within 2 hours of welding: degrease, acid etch, DI water rinse
  • Remove oxide layer to bright metal
  • Wire brush with stainless steel brush (titanium-only)
  • No chlorinated solvents (causes stress corrosion cracking)
